Hi Folks,

It's still hot and muggy around here.  Glad air conditioner is still working.  Singings have been great.  We've had a slow summer but we're off and running wide open for the rest of the year.  Lots' of things coming up.    We have been so blessed to have our home church and others support us throughout these 40 years and especially with their latest effort in helping us retire some debt that has really become a burden for us.  We sold the Eagle bus we had and purchased a newer model Prevost back in 2004.  Diesel fuel was around $1.39 a gallon then.  It took us 4 years to get our bus back and that's another story in it's self I won't go into detail right now about.  But just before receiving the bus, the economy knocked us off our feet.  Bookings went down and so did the offerings from most of the singings we had booked.  Diesel fuel the day we picked up the bus was $4.19 a gallon.  It takes 250 gallons to fill it up and get us around 7-9 miles a gallon.  Our nations economy had everyone worried and uncertain of what was going to happen.  I know I was not worried but concerned about what was happening in our nation.  I knew God would take care of us and He always will.  It was and is a stressful time with payments coming and phones not ringing, we thought our time of singing may have been about up.  Didn't know if God was leading us to another avenue to work for Him in.  We haven't been able to record a major project in over 4 years now.    God has laid it on the hearts of some of His faithful that believe in our ministry to come to our rescue and to give an all out effort in eliminating the debt we have on the bus.  If you would like to know more about what is being done to achieve this goal, you can find information on how you can be a part of this effort too by calling Oak Grove FWB Church at 252-236-4531.
